Medlock and Tame Valley Conservation Association

The presentation we did on Tuesday night was for the Medlock and Tame Valley Conservation Association. Information about this group can be found on the following website: http://www.medlockandtame.org.uk/.

They do excellent work relating to the conservation of the environment in the Medlock and Tame Valley and the surrounding areas, both urban and rural.

Please visit their website and download an membership application form to support the work they do.

First PEBOG presentation

Last night, PEBOG did their very first public presentation for the Tameside and Medlock Conservation Group. Each member of the group presented a slide each in front of about 15 people. It was a very successful event and i think we even got a few new members from it.

All in all it was very successful. We managed to inform the listeners that the noise of a Barn Owl is completely different to a Tawny Owl. A Tawny Owl “hoots” whereas a Barn Owl “screeches”. You can definitely tell the difference between the two.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any news or sightings of Barn Owls in your area.
